Postal-place testing - limited source coverage

South Korea Address Generator

South Korean test addresses preserving native-script source localities and five-digit postal codes. Synthetic road-style labels are added without converting the record into a verified Road Name Address.

GeoNames postal-place sample with a synthetic street. Limited source coverage; not delivery-verified.

South Korea Address Format

South Korea uses a five-digit postal-code format in the UPU guide. This tool places the source province or metropolitan city and locality before the synthetic road line, followed by the postcode. The generated road names use test labels with road-style endings; they are not translations or official registrations of Korean roads.

The dataset contains postal localities, not the complete Korean road-name and building database. A locality can be a district or lower-level place, so the interface calls it a source locality rather than always a city. Source script is preserved. Neither building numbers nor the combination of a synthetic road and a retained postcode is delivery-verified.

Counts describe this imported subset, not a national completeness percentage. A locality label may occur in more than one source group. Exact duplicates are removed; unsupported or inconsistent records are omitted, not repaired with guessed geography.

South Korea Form-Testing Cases

Korean address QA should include Hangul storage, font rendering, copying and JSON/CSV round trips. The five-digit code must not be rejected by a validator that still expects the older six-digit form. These records exercise mixed-script fixtures, not an authoritative English translation of a Korean mailing address.

Generated records are for development, QA and demonstrations. They must not be used for mail delivery, identity checks, account verification or proof of residence. A synthetic result can coincidentally resemble an existing address; it is not guaranteed to be nonexistent.

Data and Attribution

Geographic data: GeoNames KR postal export, reused under CC BY 4.0. Downloaded 2026-09-05. The source provides no guarantee of accuracy, timeliness or completeness.

Postal-place relationships are retained from individual source rows, without mixing localities and codes independently. Coordinates, population figures and unrelated gazetteer fields are not included in the browser data.

South Korea Address FAQ

Why do some fields contain Hangul while the road line uses Latin letters?

Geographic labels are retained from the source, while the road is synthetic testing text. The tool deliberately avoids guessing a romanization or claiming that the road exists.
