Postal-prefix test records - synthetic suffix
China Address Generator
China-format test records with source province-level areas and postal places. The first four postcode digits come from the standard export; the final two are generated and explicitly unverified.
Source-matched postal prefix. Street and remaining postcode characters are synthetic, not delivery-verified.
China Address Format
The six-digit test postcode is kept as a string. This tool uses a Latin-script testing layout with a synthetic numbered road, source locality and postcode/province line. It does not automatically translate source place names into Chinese characters or fabricate district, estate, building and apartment relationships.
No. 250 Ceshi Lu (TEST) Anqing 246022 Anhui CHINA
Synthetic format example, not a delivery address. The street or box line is generated test data.
UPU China addressing reference. This reference documents postal layouts, not the validity of generated addresses.
China Source Coverage
- Retained source rows
- 2,342
- Locality labels by area
- 2,333
- Covered source groups
- 31
The GeoNames readme describes the China download as partial postal-code data ending in 00. The generator therefore preserves the first four digits and labels the completed code as synthetic. Rows with a known conflicting province name under source code 20 are excluded rather than silently moved to another province. Coverage is limited to the source's listed places.

Counts describe this imported subset, not a national completeness percentage. A locality label may occur in more than one source group. Exact duplicates are removed; unsupported or inconsistent records are omitted, not repaired with guessed geography.
China Form-Testing Cases
China address fixtures can exercise six-character numeric-string fields and the distinction between municipality and province-level labels. This Latin-script output is not a substitute for Chinese-script localization tests. Applications that need district selection or precise delivery routing require a separately validated hierarchy and real delivery address.
Generated records are for development, QA and demonstrations. They must not be used for mail delivery, identity checks, account verification or proof of residence. A synthetic result can coincidentally resemble an existing address; it is not guaranteed to be nonexistent.
Data and Attribution
Geographic data: GeoNames CN postal export, reused under CC BY 4.0. Downloaded 2026-09-05. The source provides no guarantee of accuracy, timeliness or completeness.
Postal-place relationships are retained from individual source rows, without mixing localities and codes independently. Coordinates, population figures and unrelated gazetteer fields are not included in the browser data.
China Address FAQ
Why does the postal-code field say Test postal code?
The free source does not provide the complete assigned code relationship used by this result. Two generated digits complete the format, so the full value must not be advertised as a verified Chinese postal code.
